Rockets Tickets - Jan 07

To improve the results of the previous season, the Houston Rockets drafted Rudy Gay. He was dealt to Memphis in exchange for Shane Battier. Many team’s fans expressed their regret at losing the young promising player, but at the same time, they were excited to acquire the well-known Battier. The franchise also acquired Kirk Snyder from New Orleans for cash consideration and later made their biggest $5 million acquisition Bonzi.

In the 2006-2007 NBA season, the Houston Rockets are currently 25-13, with 13-3 at home and 12-10 on the road. Unfortunately, some of the team’s members have suffered some injuries: McGrady injured his back and Yao broke a bone. However, McGrady recovered just after Yao got injured and managed to finish six consecutive games with at least 30 points.

On Saturday night, January 13, 2007, the Houston Rockets defeated the Sacramento Kings in overtime. Tracy McGrady, one of the NBA's most dangerous scorers, racked up 37 points and 9 assists and thus helped his team to beat the rivals with 115-111. Ron Artest was the one, who almost rescued Sacramento. He scored 11 points in the last quarter (in all he added 34 points) and made a long 3-pointer to tie the game 101-101 with only 3.3 seconds left. Later, he opened the overtime with his 3-pointer, but Shane Battier stepped up in overtime, taking the charge of the game and leading his team to another victory.

The Houston Rockets are currently 0.658% and are third in their division. Coached by Jeff Van Gundy, the team is making much progress. To see a stunning game of the Houston Rockets, buy your Houston Rockets tickets from Vivid Seats right now.
