2009 UTEP Miners Season Information

The University of Texas at El Paso was overseen by the head coach Mike Price for the 2007 NCAA football season. They found themselves with a less than formidable record of 4-8 for the season, but they are gearing up for the 2008-2009 play season, again under the watchful eye of Mike Price for his fifth season. February 2008 welcomed the addition of Guy Holliday as the wide receivers coach, formerly wide receivers coach at Cornell for 2007. Before 2007 he coached wide receivers from 2003 to 2006 at Mississippi State. Throughout his extensive coaching career, he has witnessed seventeen of his former players signing professional football contracts.

Of the twelve games on the 2008-2009 schedule six offer a home stadium advantage, so we can hope that we will be able to see more of a turnabout with this years roster of players. Of course we wish them the best of luck on the field, and we can offer our support from the sidelines when we go see the UTEP Miners take the field.
