Blackhawks Midseason Update - Feb 2007

The Chicago Blackhawks finished the previous season with only 26 wins versus 43 losses and 13 overtime losses. They became fourth in their division and did not qualify for the playoffs.

In 2006, it was announced that longtime radio announcer Pat Foley, who had been the voice of the Blackhawks for 25 years, was not going to be brought back. It was a very unpopular move amongst most Chicago fans.

Despite Tallon's desperate attempts, Chicago finished fourteenth in the Western Conference after the previous season. The Blackhawks selected Jonathan Toews with the 3rd overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
