Penguins 2007 Midseason Update

On January 9, 2007, it was reported that Houston and Portland had officially expressed interest in the team. The owner of the Rockets, Les Alexander, announced that he was interested in bringing the Penguins to play at the Toyota Center. However, on January 19, 2007, it was stated that the NHL franchise still could not sign a deal for a new arena after late-night negotiations, but some source close to Rendell assumed that a deal could still be reached in the nearest future. On January 27, 2007, the Pittsburgh Penguins won over the Phoenix Coyotes with 7-2. On January 30, they are playing with the Florida Panthers.
