The NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Championship East Regional will be held by Rutgers University on March 23 and 25, 2007 at Continental Airlines Arena, East Rutherford, New Jersey. Four lucky basketball teams will participate in the East Regional, while the champion will automatically become eligible for the NCAA Final Four in Atlanta, GA.
It is not for the first time, that Rutgers University is going to host an NCAA East Regional at Continental Airlines Arena. The most recent one was held there in 2004. Continental Airlines Arena possesses a reach NCAA Tournament history, namely it was the venue of 10 East Regionals in the years 1986-1991, 1993, 1995, 1999, and 2004, as well as 1996 NCAA Final Four.
