Behind the Cirque Shanghai
The Cirque Shanghai is presented in part with International Special Attractions. The ISA was founded by Michael Wilson and Haiping Ge and aims to bring together a two-way trade between China and the United States. The company has been working with China since 1996 to bring world class acrobatic acts to the U.S. and is now the largest promoter of foreign entertainment in China and the U.S. The President of ISA, Haiping Ge, graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In1993, after working closely with the Shanghai Opera Institute, he teamed up with Mike Wilson to start up ISA.
more Mike Wilson grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Illinois. He then moved to China and studied at Beijing University for two years.
Cirque Shanghai has been performing for two years and traveled all over the world entertaining over 250,000 people. The show combines dazzling visual displays with acrobats from China, Korea, France, Italy and Jordan whom wow crowds with their strength, agility and balance.
