Alan Jackson Tour Takes Off in North America in April 2013
Country singer Alan Jackson sure knows how to party, as he’s often seen alongside Jimmy Buffett and Zac Brown Band—but the GRAMMY winner also has a softer side. Alan Jackson’s latest gospel hymn album, “Precious Memories: Volume II” is atop the Billboard Top 200 selling albums for the week of April 13. The new album, which is Jackson’s 18th studio production, was released on March 26 and is sitting pretty at No. 5 on the charts. It’s a follow-up to his gospel debut, “Precious Memories,” which was released in 2006 as a gift to his mother, who is a fan of Jackson’s sweet, soulful hymns.
Fans can catch Jackson’s record-supporting North American tour this summer, beginning on April 26 at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Ga. Other notable venues set to host an Alan Jackson concert include The Isleta Amphitheatre in Albuquerque, N.M. (July 19), Trails End Concert Park in Sheridan, Wyo. (July 21), and the Idaho Center Amphitheatre in Boise, Idaho (Aug. 9). The Alan Jackson tour will come to a close in late August with consecutive state fair appearances in Louisville, Ky. (Aug. 15) and Des Moines, Iowa (Aug. 18). He’s also been tabbed to perform at a fair in York, Pa., on Sept. 13, in addition to making an appearance on George Jones’ “The Grand Tour,” via a show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Nov. 22. Alan Jackson tickets for all upcoming events are on sale now in the Vivid Seats marketplace.
