The Black Crowes began as Mr. Crowes Garden in 1984. The band was dedicated to reviving genuine seventies classic rock and revive the genre they did. The Black Crowes have been and continue to stand out as a driving force amongst other so-called rock bands of this era. With guitars that speak the sweet southern blues of Creedence Clearwater Revival, jams that echo The Grateful Dead, and vocals reminiscent of The Allman Brothers, lead singer Chris Robinson and his brother Rich have also carried on the family tradition as the founding backbone of the band.
The Black Crowes have released seven studio albums that have gone gold and multi-platinum as well as having toured alongside such established acts as AC/DC, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, The Who, Robert Plant, and Jimmy Page (you know, just to name a few).
Warpaint is the band’s latest album. The album features new members Luther Dickinson (former lead guitar and vocals for the North Mississippi Allstars) and Adam MacDougall (former keyboardist for The Ben Taylor Band). The album is also the first to be released on The Black Crowes very own record label, Silver Arrow Records.
