Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a popular music band that was formed in 1995 by two former members of the famous Creedence Clearwater Revival, bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. The rhythm section of the group, Cook and Clifford, followed pursuits both independently and together in Southern Pacific, Don Harrison Band, and Sir Douglas Quintet. With three additional musicians, they tour the world performing the songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Forming the band Stu Cook originally said that they never really had any intention of playing for the public, but a friend of his wanted to promote a couple of concerts.
So they got talked into it, but did not know how it would go over. In fact, it turned out to be a very successful band.
The musicians have toured across North America, Europe, New Zealand, South America, and Asia. Creedence Clearwater Revisited has also released the album, entitled Recollection. The record became very popular selling thousands of copies worldwide.
The current lineup of Creedence Clearwater Revisited includes Doug Clifford (on Drums, original Creedence Clearwater Revival member), Stu Cook (on Bass Guitar, original Creedence Clearwater Revival member), Steve Gunner (Multi-Instrumentalist), Tal Morris (on Guitar), John Trisasto (on Vocals), and Elliot Easton (Guitarist on tours).
