Jeremy Camp Background Information
Jeremy camp is a well known Christian vocalist as well as a guitarist. He is an ordained minister through the Calvary chapel. His unique style of music combines elements of ballad and rock. Camp has six hit albums to his credit.
Camp scored a hit with his single “understand”. He released "Beyond measure" in 2006. The track "Tonight" topped the charts in Christian CHR Radio. The other tracks in the album "What it means", "Give me Jesus", "Give you glory", and “Let it fade" were very popular. These were the most played songs in the CHR radio. He has several albums to his credit including “Stay”, “Carried me: The worship project”, “Restored”, and “Beyond measure”. His other releases include “Burden me” in 2000 and “Live session EP” in 2007. Most of the tracks from the albums were major hits and played umpteen number of times on Christian CHR Radios. He has twelve #1 hits to his credit. There are some music videos of the tracks. These include “Tonight”, “Take your back”, “Walk by faith” and “Understand”. There is also a live album titled “Live unplugged” which was one of the top Christian albums.
He has won quite a few awards and nominations. He got the best male artist award in 2005 by reader's choice Christian music awards for "Christianity today". He was also declared ASCAP 2005 Christian songwriter of the year award. He also won the dove award for the male vocalist of the year. His album "Stay and carried me: The worship project" was certified silver.
In 2006 he marched away with the ASCAP songwriter of the year award. He also got the song of the year award for the track "Take you back". He also won CCM reader's choice awards in 2006 for favorite male artist and for favorite artist.
