Lindsey Buckingham Background Information
Lindsey Buckingham Lindsey Buckingham is probably best known as a guitarist and singer for the musical band Fleetwood Mac. During his music career, Lindsey has also done some independent recordings. Out of the Cradle was released in 1992. The next solo album, Gift of Screws, was created between 1995-2001 and presented to Warner Bros./Reprise for release. Seven songs from the album, including "Murrow Turning Over In His Grave," "Steal Your Heart Away," "Come," "Bleed to Love Her," "Red Rover," "Miranda," and "Say Goodbye" appeared on the Fleetwood Mac album Say You Will. They are practically the same form as Lindsey had recorded them for his solo release. Other compositions from Gift of Screws appeared on Buckingham's 2005 Soundstage DVD and on the 2006 solo work, Under The Skin.
Lindsey contributed the composition "Shut Us Down" to the soundtrack of the Cameron Crowe movie. It was co-written together with Cory Sipper. In late 2005, Buckingham released his Soundstage performance on DVD. On his 57th birthday, the singer released an acoustic album titled Under the Skin. It features Lindsey on almost all music instruments. The album includes a cover of The Rolling Stones composition "I Am Waiting." Three days after the recording's release, Lindsey started a tour promoting his new release. He has also stated that he expects to tour until July 2007. The musician plans to follow Under the Skin with another solo release in 2008.
