Lollapalooza Tickets

Now that the Coachella 2013 lineup is out in the open, the attention has turned to summer’s Lollapalooza, set to take over Chicago’s Hutchinson Field at Grant Park, Aug. 2-4. The full list of artists has traditionally been announced in April each year, but already the rumors have been swirling. In fact, a possible Lollapalooza lineup leak hit the Internet in February, featuring such artists as The Cure, Jay-Z, Mumford and Sons, Blur, Skrillex, The Flaming Lips, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, and Kendrick Lamar, just to name a few. There has been no official word on its accuracy, so with spring right around the corner, fans will be able to find out soon enough if there was any truth to the rumors.

Passes sell quickly once the lineup is released, so get a jump on things by browsing our stock of 2013 Lollapalooza tickets on sale now in the marketplace. Since the event’s full-blown revival, global editions of Lollapalooza have popped up in recent years, which for 2013, includes Chile and Brazil. Confirmed artists for those dates include Pearl Jam, The Killers, The Black Keys, deadmau5, Queens of the Stone Age, Passion Pit, Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men, and many more. No word yet on if any of those acts will make it to Chicago, but be sure to check back, as we’ll have the 2013 Lollapalooza lineup as soon as it’s announced.

Perry Farrell, the lead singer of Jane's Addiction and the man responsible for one of the best music festivals each year, Lollapalooza, announced that his band will be headlining an Official Aftershow at the Aragon Ballroom following the conclusion of performances on Saturday, Aug. 4. The night also will feature Franz Ferdinand and a late-night DJ set from Skream and Benga. Tickets go on sale July 13.

For the past two decades Lollapalooza has played a vital role in the world of music both as a traveling carnival of alternative rock and an eclectic indie music destination festival. The weekend fest at Grant Park in Chicago is coming off a very successful year and is primed to do bigger and better things next summer. 2012 Lollapalooza tickets for the weekend of August 3rd-5th are advertised on the festival website as going on sale this spring. The first round of tickets went on sale in late March this past year around the same time that a few of the headliners were announced.
