Smashing Pumpkins Release 2013 World Tour Dates
The Smashing Pumpkins have officially announced dates and venues for their highly anticipated 2013 World Tour. The heralded alternative-rock band will begin the slate with an appearance at the annual South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, on March 16. The band will then tour the U.S. throughout April and May before spanning the globe for the remainder of the summer.
Fans looking to catch Smashing Pumpkins 2013 tour dates during the American leg of the tour will have nearly a dozen confirmed opportunities to do so. The band is scheduled to play three venues in five nights in Florida, most notably at the Funshine Music Festival in Tampa on May 3. The group, which is expected to play everything from 90s hits to its latest material from the 2012 album, “Oceania,” will finish up in the U.S. in Columbus, Ohio, on May 18, before heading overseas from June to August. The international portion of the venture will conclude in Tokyo, Japan, on Aug. 11.
