The Baltimore Orioles came out on the short end of the stick Tuesday night as they fell 10-8 against the Toronto Blue Jays. Baltimore struck early as they scored 2 runs in the 1st and 3rd innings. However things got whacky in the 5th inning, when Toronto exploded for 5 runs to take a 6-4 lead only to have it wiped away when Baltimore put up 3 runs the following inning to regain the lead 7-6. The Blue Jays answered right back with a 3 run sixth inning that would turn out to be too much for the Orioles to come back from. The Orioles managed 12 hits as a team, 4 of which came from Melvin Mora who also had 5 RBI on the night. Adam Jones, Nick Markakis and Aubrey Huff each had 2 hits on the night, with Markakis connecting for his 15th home run of the year. Both teams had their pitching staff get roughed up and will look for better results Wednesday in game 3 of the four game set.
