The Baltimore Orioles could not complete their sweep of the New York Yankees Wednesday night as they fell 13-3. The Orioles seemed to be on their way as they scored in the 1st inning off an Aubrey Huff RBI single. But the Yankees stormed back and put up 3 runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Baltimore managed to cut the lead to 3-2 in the 3rd inning, but again the Yankees had an answer as they tacked on two more runs. New York would go on to blow the game open by scoring 8 runs in the 6th and 7th innings. Baltimore could not match New York as they failed to finish a three game sweep of the Yankees. The Orioles managed just six hits as a team and their pitching wasn't effective as they dropped to five games under .500 on the year. Baltimore is off on Thursday and will head to Seattle on Friday to take on the Mariners for the start of a 3-game series.
