Boston Red Sox Ticket Information

There aren’t many MLB ballparks with the kind of rich history that can be found inside Fenway Park. Be there at the start of a new season with Boston Red Sox Opening Day tickets, or make a trip during the summer months as the division race begins to heat up. No matter your preference, the Vivid Seats marketplace will have a wide selection of Red Sox tickets in stock all year long.

Marquee matchups are always a regular occurrence when it comes to the 2013 Red Sox season schedule. Not surprisingly, AL East opponents are typically a major draw, as the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays have regularly contended for a division title. Of course, the main event is always when the Bronx Bombers come to town, so be sure to purchase tickets for when the New York Yankees come to town to reserve a place at Fenway. The National League will be represented in Beantown as well this year, as upcoming interleague foes include the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Overhauled Red Sox Ready for Fresh Start in 2013

Several of the necessary changes were taken care of in the offseason, leaving the Boston Red Sox in much better shape for the 2013 campaign. Former team pitching coach, John Farrell, is now at the helm as manager, but he won’t be the only fresh face at Fenway Park this year. The Red Sox also added a wave of new personnel including David Ross, Stephen Drew, Jonny Gomes, Shane Victorino, Ryan Dempster, Koji Uehara, Joel Hanrahan, and Mike Napoli. Reliable second baseman, Dustin Pedroia, returns after leading the team’s offensive efforts last year with team highs in hits (163) and doubles (39).

Reserve your seats soon for another exciting year with 2013 Boston Red Sox tickets. The first week of the season will be spent on the road, most notably at the bitter rival, New York Yankees, for the opener on April 1. The series will continue April 2-3, before the Red Sox travel to Toronto for a three-game stint, April 5-7. The squad will take on the Baltimore Orioles in the home opener on April 8, and will also host the Tampa Bay Rays, Kansas City Royals, Oakland A’s, and Houston Astros throughout the rest of the month. Browse the 2013 Boston Red Sox schedule above for the complete inventory of games in stock now.

Red Sox Name Valentine 2012 Manager

The end of last season saw a changing of the guard within the Boston Red Sox organization with Terry Francona concluding his 8-year tenure as manager. Boston hired veteran manager Bobby Valentine in December, giving the franchise an experienced skipper to replace Francona. Previously the manager of the Mets and Rangers, Valentine will inherit the best hitting team in baseball. The sale of 2012 Red Sox tickets will be as strong as ever with Adrian Gonzalez back swinging his bat at Fenway this April. In his first year in Boston, Gonzalez had the best season of his career. The former San Diego Padre won the Silver Slugger Award after driving in 117 runs and finishing the campaign with a .338 batting average. However, Gonzalez wasn't the only Red Sox to light up the scoreboard in 2012. Both center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury and David Ortiz had terrific statistical seasons right along with the team's star slugger. With so many of the  key contributors under contract and healthy ahead of the season, the Red Sox very well may be playing for a World Series title when all is said and done this year.

Red Sox Chasing AL Wild Card

Hands down the best hitting team in baseball, the Boston Red Sox are in the throes of a thrilling Wild Card race with their division rivals the Tampa Bay Rays. Although Boston's pitching has struggled all season long, the bats of the team's top sluggers are powering Beantown into October. Adrian Gonzalez, a favorite to win the AL MVP, is giving fans plenty of reason to buy 2011 Red Sox playoff tickets. The first baseman is leading the MLB in batting average, hits, and is currently in second place in RBI totals.

Designated hitter David Ortiz is still on the top of his game and will need to come up clutch once again if the Red Sox want to beat their greatest rival - the New York Yankees - in the playoffs. Having failed to make the postseason one year ago, Red Sox Nation will not tolerate consecutive playoff-less campaigns. With the sure number of All-Star quality hitters on roster, Boston still has the potential to win it all this season.

Red Sox Have High Hopes in 2011

For most MLB franchises finishing the season with a 89-73 record would be considered a pretty solid year, but that's not the case in Boston. Despite being 16 games over .500 last season, the Boston Red Sox did not make the playoffs. Red Sox management went right to work in the offseason, corralling big name free agents Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez. The acquisition of Crawford not only gave Boston a golden glove calibre outfielder, but also hurt divisional rival Tampa Bay's chances at repeating as AL East Champs. In response to the front office's aggressiveness in the player market, Boston superfans are on the prowl for 2011 Red Sox tickets. In addition to beefing up the batting order, the Red Sox restocked their bullpen with veterans Dan Wheeler and Bobby Jenks. Wheeler and Jenks should serve as fine set-up men for Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon. Will the moves the Red Sox made this offseason pay off in the win column? The expectations are high to say the least - anything short of the postseason will be a disappointment to the fans at Fenway.
