Former team pitching coach, John Farrell, is now at the helm as manager, but he won’t be the only fresh face at Fenway Park this year. The Red Sox also added a wave of new personnel including David Ross, Stephen Drew, Jonny Gomes, Shane Victorino, Ryan Dempster, Koji Uehara, Joel Hanrahan, and Mike Napoli. Reliable second baseman, Dustin Pedroia, returns after leading the team’s offensive efforts last year with team highs in hits (163) and doubles (39).
