Minnesota Twins News | ||
Minnesota Twins in 2009The Minnesota Twins may be the dominant team in the AL Central this year. They came within a win of making the ALDS last season, and they have improved their team in many ways since September. Adam Everett has left the team and Luis Ayala is the new face in the dugout. The Twins are otherwise very strong in almost every position. If he stays healthy, Francisco Liriano will be a major force on the team’s pitching staff. But he was injured for 2007 and much of 2008, playing only in the second half of the season, pitching a 2.74 ERA. Mauer and Morneau are two of the best offensive players in the AL right now and will give the team a big push at the plate. New 3rd baseman Joe Crede is also working hard to establish himself as a force on this team and he hopes to start posting big numbers like he had in 2006. The Twins could win this competitive division this season! Purchase your Twins baseball tickets today for the 2009 baseball season. |
