The Philadelphia Phillies have not been scoring runs lately, and Tuesday night they couldn't even manage to score one as they lost 2-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals. Cole Hamels took a tough loss after pitching 7 innings, and with 2 mistakes being solo home runs to Rick Ankiel and Ryan Ludwick, his offense couldn't bail him out. Hamels allowed only 3 hits while striking out 8. The Philadelphia offense managed just 6 hits, 2 of them coming from Pat Burrell. The Phillies had few chances in the game but could not capitalize, taking their second loss to the Cardinals in a row. They will look to get back on track Wednesday night as they take on the Cardinals in game 3 of the four game series.
