2008 Pepsi 500 Race Information

The Pepsi 500 name is new to the NASCAR circuit and will begin its journey on August 31st, 2008. Beginning in 1997, Pepsi became the official sponsor of the Auto Club Speedway and so the race name was created. This change seems only fitting as Coke was the previous sponsor of the track. Coke took over the Pepsi 400 race about the same time. Point of interest to some movie fans, some of the movie “Herbie: Fully Loaded” were filmed at this track while the 2004 race was in full swing.
