NCAA Big 10 Tournament Basketball Info

The Big Ten Conference mens basketball tournament takes place each year at the end of the mens college basketball regular season. The tournament has been held every year starting from 1998. The champion of the tournament receives the title of the Big Ten Tournament Champion, and is automatically transferred to the NCAA men's basketball tournament. The Big Ten was among the most recent NCAA Division I college basketball conferences, which began a tournament. The final games of the competition are usually held right before the announcement of the field for the NCAA tournament. The tournaments usually occur at neutral venues, not belonging to some particular college. The first competitons took place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Starting from 2002, the tournament had been held either in the United Center or in the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
