Edward Jones Dome Information
The Edward Jones Dome is home to the St. Louis Rams. Though it is used for many purposes, the main reason for building this stadium was for the city to once again have an NFL team, which is St. Louis Rams. The capacity of the Dome is for 70,000 fans and the field is covered with Field Turf.
Although home to an NFL team, Edward Jones Dome is also the site of many college football games. Other purposes include being used as the city convention center and a place where people can get together for religious meetings. The most famous of those was in 1999 when more than 100,000 people came to the stadium to hear Pope John Paul II. That ended up being the largest single gathering in American history. Billy Graham also preached here to large crowds and in 2005 the Seventh Day Adventists held their general conference here.
