Safeco Field is located Seattle, Washington. It is the current home of the Seattle Mariners. The spectacular attraction of this world renowned place for baseball fans is the retracting roof which is really an engineering marvel. The inaugural game in Safeco field was on July 15th, 1999. Historically this stadium is built to replace the deteriorated baseball stadium The Kingdome and the construction was started in March 1997. Safeco Field holds a capacity crowd of 47,116.

A recent major baseball tournament held here was the NCAA Pacific-10 Conference baseball in May 2007, which had a record attendance of spectators. Apart from baseball Safeco is used for many other sports and events. Two of the highly attractive non baseball events held here are WWE Wrestle Mania XIX in 2003 and College Football Seattle bowl in 2001.

The naming rights of this ballpark rest with Safeco insurance and the name of Safeco field is derived out of this right. The playing field is built with the state of art technology, featuring two types of perennial rye grass and four types of bluegrass from Kentucky. The scoreboard system in this field is exemplary with 11 electronic score board display and one traditional hand operated display. Stadium has excellent and ample parking facilities for the audience.
