    US GRAND PRIX

Back in May at the 2013 Sports Business Awards, the US Grand Prix was awarded the prestigious honor of Sports Event of the Year for 2012, beating out fellow nominees the Ryder Cup, Stanley Cup Finals, and US Olympic Swimming Trials. The feat was impressive not only because of the notable sporting events it defeated, but also because it was the first Formula 1 race held in the United States since 2007.

As expected, the anticipation is mounting with the 2013 installment just weeks away. F1 Austin, as it has become affectionately known thanks to its multi-year deal with the state-of-the-art Circuit of The Americas in the Texas capital, will take over from Nov. 15-17, and will once again come complete with additional festivities for fans throughout the weekend.

    Formula 1 Austin Ticket Information
Vivid Seats offers a variety of different Formula 1 Austin tickets depending on your plans and preferences for the weekend. Choose from single-day or multi-day passes, including the option to attend practice rounds on Friday and Saturday leading up to Sunday’s main event. You also can elect to attend just the race, which is the only F1 event hosted inside the U.S. this year. Pending approval, a second Formula 1 race on American soil may be added to the schedule in 2014 and would be held in New Jersey in May or June.

Circuit of The Americas Seating Information
Unlike the U.S. venues of years past, Austin’s Circuit of The Americas was built specifically for F1 races. As such, a wide variety of seating options are available for purchase. From hospitality packages and suites to general admission and reserved seating, there’s something for everyone.

Many of the reserved seats are broken down by the proximity to a specific “turn” inside the venue, which is designated on the Circuit of The Americas interactive seating map and the listing themselves. The location of each suite also will vary, with some located in the Main Grandstand, while others may be situated near a specific turn. Different seats will be available depending on the date, so be sure to browse through all listings to get an idea of the full selection on sale for the weekend.

Austin Fan Fest Events, Local Concerts from Sting, Pitbull
Six concert stages, various themed fan “zones,” a beer garden, interactive games, food trucks, merchandise sales, and more comprise the loaded Austin Fan Fest event schedule that is free and open to the public from Nov. 14-17. The musical lineup will feature different acts each day including artists like Los Lonely Boys (Nov. 15) Los Lobos (Nov. 15), Andy Grammer (Nov. 16), and Everlast (Nov. 16). In addition to concerts hosted by Austin Fan Fest, other area venues also will have live performances to offer race fans in town. Sting is scheduled to play a show at Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater on Nov. 16, while across the way at the outdoor Austin360 Amphitheater, Sick Puppies will play a free concert after the qualifying rounds on Nov. 16 and Pitbull will close out the weekend with a post-race performance on Nov. 17.
