About Last Comic Standing

This reality show, produced by Peter Engel, is a talent show that debuted in 2003 on NBC. The show follows the typical talent reality show format, open casting calls are had, the comedians chosen must compete against each other in front of live audiences who then vote for their favorite. As the number of comedians dwindles down, the voting is transferred from the studio audience to the television audience. The winner (or the “last comic standing”) would win a contract with NBC and specials with Bravo and Comedy Central.  more
