About Keith Urban
Keith Lionel Urban is a famous country music singer and songwriter from Australia.
Keith’s first arena tour was entitled Keith Urban Be Here with Katrina Elam as its opening act. The following year, the singer continued his meteoric rise to fame with his very successful tour together with Elam (Alive in 2005). Urban performed during the Live 8 Philadelphia concert in July 2005. He was chosen by The Gap to appear in their "Favorites" campaign. Keith Urban was named the 2005 CMA's Entertainer of the Year. In the fall of 2005, the musician released a DVD titled Livin' Right Now. It was recorded in at the Wiltern Theater in CA in late 2004.
Keith has recently performed "Better Life" on the CMA Awards. And later he sang "You'll Think of Me" during the American Music Awards ceremony. The singer has also performed at the Grammy Awards playing "You'll Think of Me" and "The Lucky One" together with the faithful Faith Hill. In 2006, at the ACM Awards Urban sang "Tonight I Wanna Cry" and played guitar for the song "Believe."
In late August 2006, Keith made history, when the new single "Once in a Lifetime" debuted at no. 17, thus setting a record for the highest-debuting country single in the last 62 years of the history of Billboard's country charts.
Keith is a winner of many "Golden Guitars" presented every year during the "Tamworth Country Music Festival" at "The Country Music Association of Australia's Annual Awards" in Australia.
