The San Diego Padres could not figure Andy Pettitte out Tuesday as they were blanked 8-0 by the New York Yankees. The Padres fell behind early as they trailed 2-0 after the 2nd inning. New York then had a five run 4th inning that pretty much closed the door on the Padres for the evening. San Diego had 3 errors and started Randy Wolf only lasted 4 innings. Wolf gave up 6 hits and 7 runs (5 earned) while the offense contributed no support and only 7 hits. The Padres will look to even the series Wednesday night.
