Texas Bowl Information

First played in Houston, Texas, in 2006, the Texas Bowl is a post-season NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A college football bowl game, which substitutes the now-not-existent Houston Bowl that used to be played annually from 2000 to 2005. The Texas Bowl features the Big 12 and Conference USA with the possibility of including Texas Christian University for the future; and takes places annually at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX, seating 70,000 people. The Texas Bowl name and logo were officially introduced on August 10, 2006 at a press conference revoked especially for this purpose.  more
