Founded in 1995 in Washington, D.C., D.C. United set the early MLS standard, capturing MLS Cup titles in 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2004. The club’s first crown arrived in a rain soaked classic, a 3-2 extra time comeback sealed by Eddie Pope’s winner. Jaime Moreno and Marco Etcheverry orchestrated the league’s first true juggernaut, thrilling crowds with craft and composure.

Today, Audi Field in Buzzard Point pulses on matchday as Screaming Eagles and Barra Brava drive the rhythm with drums, flags, and relentless songs. The atmosphere is intimate and loud, with sightlines that keep every fan close to the action. Whether you grew up on RFK memories or are discovering the Black-and-Red for the first time, D.C. United offers a uniquely capital-city soccer experience worth planning around.
