Launched in 2016 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Davenport Panthers Football brings NCAA Division II intensity to the GLIAC. In short order, the Panthers earned their first NCAA DII playoff berth in 2022 and wrapped that season ranked 20th in the AFCA coaches poll, signaling a program built to contend. Davenport’s move to active Division II membership in 2019 cemented its rise and raised expectations across West Michigan.

Guided by head coach Sparky McEwen, the Panthers play fast, physical football and circle annual GLIAC showdowns with Ferris State and Grand Valley State that pack the stands. Home Saturdays at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex feel electric: tailgates rolling early, the student-driven Panther P.A.C.K. pushing the noise, and a tight sideline sightline that makes every snap feel close. Join the roar and be part of the momentum.
