Born in 1907 in Hickory, North Carolina, Lenoir-Rhyne Bears Football invites fans to experience Saturdays between the bricks at Moretz Stadium, where capacity crowds and campus-wide tailgates set an energetic, welcoming tone. The student section brings relentless noise, turning the brick-walled bowl into a true home-field advantage and a memory-making backdrop for every snap.

The Bears' tradition includes the 1960 NAIA national championship clinched with a Holiday Bowl win, multiple conference crowns across the North State, Carolinas and South Atlantic Conferences, and a 2013 run to the NCAA Division II title game. Annual battles with Catawba stoke a rivalry that has stretched for generations. Alumni like NFL standout Kyle Dugger reflect the program's player development, while teams led by coach Mike Houston reminded everyone how far Hickory's favorite fall team can go.
