Founded in 1902 in Ettrick, Virginia, Virginia State Trojans football brings HBCU pride to NCAA Division II's CIAA. The Trojans claim 12 conference titles, most recently in 2014 and 2017, and have sent playmakers like Trenton Cannon from Rogers Stadium to the NFL. Each fall, the annual showdown with Virginia Union energizes the Northern Division race and fills campus with friendly rivalry.

Home Saturdays are special at 7,909-seat Rogers Stadium, where early tailgates roll into a loud student section and the Trojan Explosion marching band turns halftime into a celebration. Fans come ready to create new memories, from pregame chants to fourth-quarter stands, and they leave believing they were part of the win. If you're ready to feel the energy, Trojans game day delivers.
