Born in 2015 in Kennesaw, Georgia, Kennesaw State Owls football wasted no time making noise. Under founding head coach Brian Bohannon, the Owls’ option attack powered Big South championships in 2017, 2018, and 2021, plus multiple FCS playoff runs that reached the quarterfinals. Standouts like quarterback Chandler Burks and linebacker Bryson Armstrong, the nation’s top FCS freshman in 2017, helped define a fast, physical identity that opponents respect and fans love.

On fall Saturdays, Fifth Third Bank Stadium turns into Owl Nation’s living room. The Marching Owls set the tempo, Scrappy rallies the crowd, and a packed student section keeps the volume high from warmups through the final whistle. Tailgating at the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park buzzes early, then spills into an electric, close-to-the-field atmosphere that rewards every snap. It’s the perfect place to create your next vivid sports memory.
