Founded in 1888, the Duke Blue Devils football program calls Durham, North Carolina home. Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium buzzes on Saturdays as students and alumni pack the lots for tailgating, greet the team during the Blue Devil Team Walk, and keep the energy high inside the Devils Deck. The Blue Devils own multiple ACC championships, including a 2025 crown, plus memorable bowl victories such as the 2015 Pinstripe Bowl and the 2018 Independence Bowl. The program’s legacy runs through Hall of Fame coach Wallace Wade and a modern spark from Steve Spurrier’s late 1980s title run. Rivals meet each year for the Victory Bell against North Carolina, a tradition that animates the campus. Duke’s home also hosted the 1942 Rose Bowl, a singular chapter that still gives game days extra resonance.
