Born in 1890 in Columbia, Missouri, the Tigers bring a distinct black and gold edge to Saturdays at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium, better known as The Zou. The north end's rock M, set in 1927, frames a student section that drives the M-I-Z... Z-O-U call and fuels tailgates that turn campus into a daylong block party. It is an atmosphere built for big moments.

Missouri's resume stretches across eras, with conference crowns from the MVIAA and Big Eight to SEC East titles in 2013 and 2014, plus headline bowl triumphs that include Cotton Bowl wins in 2008, 2014, and 2023. Fans still celebrate the Gary Pinkel years and the precision of quarterback Chase Daniel. Every season closes with the hard-hitting Battle Line Rivalry against Arkansas, a border showdown that reliably raises the volume in Columbia.
