Rutgers Scarlet Knights football traces its roots to 1869 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where the first intercollegiate game kicked off and a shared national championship took shape. Now competing in the Big Ten, Rutgers has added milestones like a share of the 2012 Big East title and multiple bowl victories, including the breakthrough 2006 Texas Bowl.

Iconic figures such as Ray Rice and Eric LeGrand, along with coach Greg Schiano and the Keep Chopping ethos, anchor the program's identity. Home Saturdays in Piscataway turn the on-campus stadium into a sea of scarlet, with the Scarlet Walk, booming pregame tailgates, and a charged student section creating a relentless, Jersey-made atmosphere. It is where fans turn moments into lifelong memories.
