Western Michigan Broncos Football has been part of Kalamazoo since 1906, bringing the MAC to life every fall. The Broncos' resume includes MAC championships in 1988 and 2016, a 13-0 regular season in 2016 that led to the Cotton Bowl, and memorable bowl victories in the 2015 Bahamas Bowl and 2021 Quick Lane Bowl. Fans still celebrate stars like Corey Davis and Greg Jennings, plus the energizing leadership of coach P.J. Fleck during that unbeaten run.

The annual clash with Central Michigan for the Victory Cannon, along with the Michigan MAC Trophy race, adds edge to every season.
