Founded in 1894 in Grand Forks, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks football program pairs tradition with ambition. The Hawks captured the 2001 NCAA Division II national championship and have claimed conference titles across eras, including a Big Sky crown in 2016 and a Missouri Valley Football Conference title in spring 2021. Legends like running back Dave Osborn and record-setting receiver Weston Dressler shaped UND toughness, and coach Dale Lennon steered that 2001 run.

Home Saturdays inside the Alerus Center are loud, indoor, and electric, the roof amplifying a student section that stands all game. Tailgating packs the lots, and Potato Bowl USA week turns Grand Forks into a festival capped by a full house. The in-state clash with North Dakota State still raises the stakes and rallies the state. Join the green and white and make your next game a lasting memory.
