Robert Morris Colonials football invites fans into Pittsburgh’s west-suburban heartbeat, representing Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1994, the program competes in NCAA Division I FCS and has built a blue-collar identity grounded in defense, discipline, and community pride.

Powered early by head coach Joe Walton, the Colonials captured multiple Northeast Conference titles in a late-1990s surge and added a 2010 championship that delivered the school’s first FCS playoff berth. Matchups with crosstown foe Duquesne light up the calendar. On game day, Joe Walton Stadium keeps fans near the action with intimate sightlines and a student section that stays loud from warmups to the final whistle, while tailgating lots ring the hilltop campus. Whether you’re an alum or discovering the Colonials for the first time, you’ll find a welcoming crowd, authentic regional flavor, and moments that linger long after the scoreboard goes dark.
