Founded in 1891 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the Volunteers built their identity on big-stage moments at Neyland Stadium. Tennessee owns national championships in 1951 and 1998, plus a deep slate of SEC titles and notable bowl wins, from the Fiesta Bowl clincher over Florida State to the 2022 Orange Bowl triumph against Clemson. Guided by legends like General Robert Neyland and quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning, the program blends heritage with high-octane Saturdays.

Game days feel electric: the Pride of the Southland Band forms the T, the team runs through it, Rocky Top rings, and the Vol Navy tailgates on the river while the student section drives the energy. Rivalries ignite the schedule, especially the Third Saturday in October with Alabama, with Florida, Georgia, and Vanderbilt never far behind.
