Launched in 2016 in Pensacola, the West Florida Argonauts Football program quickly turned a new idea into a national force. In just its second season, UWF surged to the 2017 Division II national title game, then captured the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship behind head coach Pete Shinnick and breakout quarterback Austin Reed. That rapid rise set a standard the Argos continue to chase every fall.

Game days at Pen Air Field are a Gulf Coast celebration: spirited tailgates, a loud student section, and a sea of navy and Argonaut blue pushing the pace snap to snap. Annual Gulf South showdowns with Valdosta State add extra edge, and memorable moments seem to arrive weekly. If you love fast, fearless football in a welcoming atmosphere, Pensacola is ready for you.
