We’re already about 10 games into the NHL season, so let’s take a look at what is going on in the league so far. The Detroit Red Wings, winners of last season’s Stanley Cup, are playing well and sitting on top of their division. The New York Rangers have surprised us this year with 10 wins and 2 losses. The San Jose Sharks have also started off nicely at 9-2. All of the divisions are still wide open, though. It’s still early in the season; each team has its own story and a good chance to go out and win it all this year. Have you seen your favorite team this year? It looks to be a very exciting year for the NHL. You should go and see the action for yourself. There’s a game every night, so what are you waiting for? Does fall make you tired and blue? Is the colder weather making you colder to your friends? Then it’s time to get out and have some fun. Brian Regan is just the guy to help you out. He makes people laugh every time he appears onstage with his hyperbolic humor! Originally, he hadn’t planned to be a comedian: he was attending college to become an accountant when he found that he was good at telling jokes. He went on to be named “the funniest person in New York” in 1988. Since then, he has released several DVDs and starred in two Comedy Central specials. His jokes aren’t off-color or just-for-grownups; they’re just observations about everyday life. So you should have no fear bringing your children (or parents) to see his show. On top of that, according to his fans, he’s a really nice guy. What better way to refresh your outlook on life? Check out our Brian Regan show dates!
We are already halfway through the 2008 NFL season! Can you believe it? And we have several great divisional races going on. One of the most competitive races is in the NFC East, where the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants (6-1) are ahead of the Washington Redskins (6-2) by a mere half-game. The rest of the division, consisting of the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, are not far behind. All the teams in the division are over .500. There are also some especially strong teams this year. The Tennessee Titans are the most unexpectedly successful team this year. With 7 wins and no losses, they are at the top of their division and are hoping to keep it a perfect season. It's an exciting year for the NFL. The point of all this is, the season is moving fast! There's nothing like seeing a game in person, no matter which team you root for! Buy your NFL football tickets today!
The Killers are touring North America and you can see them soon at a venue near you. The band, based in Las Vegas, will be appearing at concert halls and arenas all over the US and Canada over the next several months. The Killers came together in 2002 and first became especially popular in 2004 with their release of their album, Hot Fuzz. Their music has been described as part of the post-punk revival movement; it is also heavily influenced by musical styles of the 1980s and 1990s. They are also influenced by British bands of the 1980s, such as Queen and U2. Their last album, Sawdust was a compilation of some of their lesser-known songs and was labeled Gold by the BPI. They are expected to release another album in late November, called Day & Age. You may have also seen them at the beginning of this month on Saturday Night Live. But even that's not as good as seeing them in person! Buy The Killers tickets today!
It seems like just a few days ago that we saw the Boston Celtics win the NBA Championship against the Los Angeles Lakers. That win, Boston's 17th title in franchise history, was hardly expected. The new NBA season kicks off in a little more than one day and anyone could become a contender. Just as Boston went from the bottom to the top, this could be your team's year! Will the defending champs dominate all opposition again this year? Will the Lakers steal the trophy back? Maybe another team will find a path to victory. Anything could happen in the NBA. The first game on Tuesday features a real clash of the titans: Cleveland vs Boston. Boston is defending a title, and Cleveland is ready to challenge. The bottom line: The season begins tomorrow, so get your tickets for 2008-2009 NBA game dates today.

We’re all tied up and headed up to Philly. The Tampa Bay Rays and the Philadelphia Phillies split the first two games, each one relying on great pitching and some timely hitting. Philadelphia pitcher Cole Hamels, the NLCS MVP, allowed only 2 runs in 7 innings in Game 1, which his team won 3-2. In Game 2, it was almost the opposite, with Tampa’s “Big Game James” Shields pitching a shutout into the 6th, and closer David Price retiring the final seven Phillies to win 4-2. Offensively, both teams have struggled: the Phillies have hit 1 for 28 with runners in scoring position and the Rays haven’t hit their stride either. Watch for at least one of these teams to really start hitting the ball soon. After all, the Phillies’ Ryan Howard can’t be stopped forever, and neither can the Rays’ Evan Longoria or Carlos Pena. This championship might last 6 or even 7 games! You should get your 2008 World Series tickets today!
They have seven wins and no losses. The AP, Coaches and BCS polls all rank them #1. The Texas Longhorns are coming off 56-31 win over the 11th ranked Missouri Tigers last week and they are feeling great! This weekend, they face off against 8th ranked Oklahoma State, a team with an explosive offense also defending a 7-0 record. On November 1, they take on another unbeaten team in Texas Tech. The games after that against Baylor (on November 8) and Kansas (November 15) will be amazing too. So far, the Longhorns are 1st in points scored and 1st in points allowed per game in the Big 12. They have a stellar quarterback in Colt McCoy, who has completed 81.2% of his passes this year and thrown 19 touchdowns so far with only 3 interceptions. Can he keep the perfect season for Texas going? Why not go to a game and find out in person? Buy your Texas Longhorns football tickets here!
The Walking with Dinosaurs theatre production makes you feel like you've been transplanted millions of years ago back into the Mesozoic Era. The live production of Walking with Dinosaurs (an adaptation of the popular BBC mini series) features all your favorites: the T-Rex, the Velociraptor, the Pterodactyl, and yes, even the Stegosaurus. Brought to life by a combination of state-of-the-art animatronics, men in zambonis/driving carts, and frightening dinosaur roars, the show is one that can truly claim to be fun for the entire family. With the guidance of a narrator at center stage, the audience is taken through a fantasy (but not really fantasy) world, and back to the times when the dinosaurs ruled the Earth. There's no perfect way to describe it except to say you need to see it live. Check out our Walking with Dinosaurs show tickets to find out when there will be a performance near you.
It's been a while since we last rapped about the Monster Jam so let's check in with the latest. In the last installment of the Jam, held in Arnhem, Holland, it was three men (car names rather) that out-smashed and out-bashed their brethren monster trucks: Superman (the crowd favorite), Grave Digger (the bad boy), and Maximum Destruction (the funny one). On the 27th and 28th of September (yes, Holland suffered Jamming for two consecutive days), the Monster Jam held six total events: 3 on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Saturday was dedicated to Monster Jam Racing and Sunday for Monster Jam Freestyle. Saturday belonged to Superman and Grave Digger, with the 1st and 3rd races going to Superman. Sunday, however, Maximum Destruction would not be denied. Smashing and crashing and bashing his way into the judges’ hearts, Maximum Destruction made a clean sweep on the day, winning all 3 events. Now, the Jam is making its way to the next event in Louisville, Kentucky; smashing houses, cars, road signs, cats and old ladies along the way. The show will be on October 24th and you can find your Monster Jam tickets right here to catch all the action live.
