The first NFL teams have finally started clinching playoff berths this season. There are some really good teams this year, too. The Tennessee Titans, who had an undefeated record up until a couple weeks ago, is the only AFC team to have clinched their division so far. There is a 3-way tie for first place in the AFC East, between the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins and the defending AFC champion New England Patriots and this division may go down to the last game of the season. In the NFC, things are somewhat clearer. The Super Bowl Champion New York Giants command the NFC East with their 11-2 record and the Arizona Cardinals have clinched the mediocre NFC West. All of these teams are really good and the ones who haven’t yet clinched are also formidable foes; this has been one of the more competitive NFL seasons in years and the playoffs are going to be even better. Don’t miss it! The only thing better than watching an NFL playoff game on TV is seeing it in person. Take a look at our NFL playoff tickets and find yourself some great seats for amazing games.
The musical that etched its place in the turbulent 1960s is being revived and brought back to broadway. Hair, the first rock musical that openly challenged many societal norms and policies of Vietnam, is slated to return to the theater in early 2009. The musical was both loved and despised during its original four year run from the late 60s into early 70s. Hair was a raw, voyeuristic view into the lives of politically active hippies fighting against conscription while living bohemian lifestyles together. With its daring portrayal of illicit drug use, sexual exploration, irreverence towards American ideals and the flag, profane language, and nude scenes, Hair was unforgettable. It was a celebration of pure freedom on the stage, even evidenced at the very end when audience members were actively encouraged to join the cast on stage for the finale. Now that Hair is returning to the stage, a whole new generation can experience what their parents and grandparents before them enjoyed or despised, and we’ve got the Hair broadway tickets you need to see it live!
Today's SEC Championship matchup is a fully loaded affair with huge implications. When the Florida Gators (11-1) travel to Alabama (12-0), the winner will not only enjoy the glory of being the 2008 SEC champion and beating one of the best teams in the nation, the winner will also receive a BCS National Championship berth. Needless to say, this game cannot be taken lightly by either side. But what even adds more flame to this white fire is that the team dynamics seem to boil down to one of the classic questions in almost any sport: Which wins, Speed or Power? The Florida Gators, aptly filling the speed role, are led by their do it all quarterback Tim Tebow. Not only can he throw the frozen rope into tight coverage, he can also run it if there's no option available downfield. On the other hand, Alabama's strength is borderline preternatural. Exemplifying this trait is Alabama's nose guard Terrence "Mount" Cody, a 380 pound beast of a man. He has been the backbone of the stalwart Alabama defense this year and Florida needs to figure out a way to block him or it'll be an easy win for the Crimson Tide. As much as pundits believe it will be power vs. speed, however, the respective coaches of each team believe that they have all the necessary skills (both strength and speed) to defeat the opposing team. However it goes down, the best way to see it all is live with these great SEC Championship tickets.
A bowl of sugar seems like it would be hard to play a good football game in. Getting traction would prove to be much more challenging than on the usual turf surfaces. Luckily, the Sugar Bowl doesn’t actually have any sugar, except in the Gatorade, and the players actually play on turf. We need not worry. However, we don’t know yet who will be playing in this big game in the Superdome in New Orleans. It will be played between a BCS at-large team and either the SEC champion or another BCS at-large team, depending on who these teams are. Two years ago, they had to move the game to Atlanta, Georgia, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. But they are back in New Orleans now, and it’s going to be a great game. There are so many great teams this year so it has to be a fun game! This year, the Sugar Bowl is not the BCS championship game, but it is still a real boost to a team when they win it. Have you ever been to a bowl game? Do you want to? The game is on January 2nd so come in and check out our Sugar Bowl tickets.
Perhaps one of the more memorable (as well as successful) characters that Will Ferrell portrayed on the stages of SNL was his masterful portrayal of George W. Bush. After he and SNL parted ways, it didn't seem as though any one would ever again be able to enjoy Will Ferrell do his presidential thing. And now with new president elect Obama only a mere month away from replacing Bush, the chances became even slimmer of seeing Ferrell as George W. Then again, when he finally leaves office, the gloves can completely come off...something of which Ferrell seems to be completely aware. Partnering up with Adam McKay (SNL, Anchorman, Step Brothers), Ferrell has crafted a one man Broadway show entitled: "You're Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush." The details of the show are somewhat hush-hush at the moment, as far as plot/content go, but it is scheduled to have a continuous run from February 5th to March 15th 2009. Though it's a short run of only about one month, we've got the You’re Welcome America: A Final Night With George W. Bush tickets you need.
Britney Spears just released her newest album yesterday, a CD called Circus, which has a very popular track called “Womanizer”. Britney has had several years of difficulties and negative PR, but now she seems to be back in the game and ready to sing some more. A few days ago, she proved this by appearing on the British talent show, called The X Factor, and singing a few songs. The media over there disliked her performance, but the audience in the studio really enjoyed it. People have been waiting for her to come back out of the desert for a long time and she hasn’t appeared in concert very much in awhile, but you only have to wait a few months before she will appear at a concert hall, arena, or theater near you. These tickets are selling almost as fast as her new CD! Get your Britney Spears tickets today and see your favorite performer in concert soon!
Though a name such as "All Hope Is Gone" certainly points towards the negative, Slipknot actually introduces a number of uplifting elements to their latest chapter of heavy thrash metal. After pushing their thrash-ocity to the ultra-max back in 2004 with "Volume 3: (The Subliminal Verses)," Slipknot took a hiatus from music making until early 2008 when they collaborated on their newest album cheerfully entitled "All Hope Is Gone." As said before, the album introduces some paradoxes. Though it is the hardest (and easily most face-meltingly thrash metal) record to date, it also injects some softer elements at the same time. Perhaps in an attempt to make the vocal shredding speed metal seem harder by comparison (as black looks darker when next to white), Slipknot has experimented with acoustic guitars, melodic vocals, and even the inclusion of hi-hats and cymbals to the drummer's kit. So far so good for Slipknot, as this has been their first album to peak at number 1 on the Billboard charts. Even better for the fans is that the new year will mark their first major US tour in about 4 years. If you need to find out any information about Slipknot tour dates, you need look no further than our website.
