Usually when you hit 47, going on 48, it's time to slow down your life and take a collective look at what you've got. Toby Keith, on the other hand, is still going at it as hard as he can. Despite reaching high levels of fame in the early 90s with his eponymous album "Toby Keith," then "Boomtown," "Blue Moon," and "Dream Walkin," Keith is still searching to put out quality record after quality record. Then he reached a new level of notoriety when he took on the Dixie Chicks publicly, for their denigration of George Bush. But now he's back out on tour promoting his new album "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy." Catch his unique country style live with our great selection of Toby Keith tickets!
It's really never too early to start thinking about baseball. It's pretty much the ubiquitous American sport. From February to the end of October, it's a runaway train that just keeps on gaining momentum until it explodes with the World Series. But even in the three months of offseason, most of the regular season's fate is being decided at the Winter Meetings and other preseason roster retooling sessions. November is pretty much the only complete month where baseball is not in motion (yet it is still being talked about by fans of the winning and losing World Series teams). After that, December is spent in pundit-chatter about what will happen during the Winter Meetings, and January is a reflection of all the changes that did take place. But now that January is reaching its half life, the World Baseball Classic occurs in March, and general spring training is on the way, opening day of the MLB doesn't seem too far off. With some major changes taking place (i.e. look at the Yankees), this should prove to be an extremely interesting season. Can the Phillies repeat? Were the Rays a fluke? Did the Yankees adequately repair? The only real way to find out is to watch. And the only real way to watch is to find yourself MLB opening day tickets for your team.
When you look around at the TV schedule, almost any night, you will see Bill Cosby on one channel or another. He has become such a major part of the American comedy scene that it's hard to imagine what it would be like without him. But did you know that before he was on television, he was a stand-up comedian? He uses to tell jokes about family and children, as well as other everyday topics. You could really relate to the kind of characters he would talk about during his routine. And he was quite entertaining. Chances are, you didn't know that he is still doing comedy shows all across the country. Well he is, and it's definitely a fun show to see! Cosby remains one of the funniest performers around. But he also has a serious side to him, taking on many of the challenging issues of our day. Don't you want to see this great performer and comedian when he comes to a venue near you? If you have the chance, you should do it! Take a look at our schedule and Bill Cosby tickets and get your seats today.
Just a short time ago, Earnhardt, Stewart, and Johnson rolled their cars into their respective garages, threw the covers on, and took out their CDs and cassette tapes before locking the doors. For three months they had to tame their aggressive driving styles while on pedestrian roads. Yet with January closing in on its half-life, there's only one month left before it's time to pull off the covers, restock the CD player/tape deck with Van Halen tapes, and bring the cars back out. First stop, the Budweiser Shootout: the "first" race of the season. While the Shootout does not officially count towards standings during the season nor are any points awarded, the random selection of car drivers chosen to race will be competing for quite a handsome purse. Additionally, since the Shootout does not carry any pressure of season-style racing, it offers fans a much more aggressive driving display than what would be demonstrated during a season race, where one large mistake can ruin a season. But the Budweiser Shootout is merely the warm up for the biggest race of the season: The Daytona 500. Perhaps no set of NASCAR racing tickets is more coveted than those for the Daytona 500. The opening race carries so much pent up driving aggression, as well as a fresh start for each driver to work with, that fans cannot get enough of the magnificently intense action. If high-octane excitement seems like your type of thing, perhaps you should take a look at our Daytona 500 tickets and be there opening day, February 15th, at the Daytona International Speedway!
For the first time, the People’s Republic of China is producing a show on Broadway. Soul of Shaolin will be playing at the Marquis Theater from January 13th-31st in a limited engagement. This show features perhaps 33 Chinese actors, dancers and artists, who are ambassadors of a sort for the Chinese government in a major production on the New York stage. The show is about a young man named Hui Guang, who is separated from his mother in a war and ends up joining the Shaolin monks. He has to learn the way of the Shaolin, according to the ancient traditions and begins to discover who he is and what he’s really made of. The main attribute of the cast is that they are all highly trained and skilled Kung Fu masters, so you can expect the martial art to play a large part in the production itself. This is expected to be a very impressive show despite its short engagement. Who knows, maybe it will stay on Broadway longer. But why take that chance? Come to our site and find your Soul of Shaolin tickets today!
Perhaps no other group has influenced the sound of American pop and rock music over the last 40-50 years more than the Beach Boys have. They have released many records which people have taken into their lives and their hearts. Oftentimes, people will remember a particular song and connect it to some very particular and important moment in their lives. It’s not surprising, then, that the Beach Boys sell out the house every time they get onstage. The crowds just love their tight harmonizing and their fun laid-back style. Obviously, the group has changed a bit since it started back in the early 60s, when most of the members were just teenagers, but a core of the team still remains intact. They have also added some honorary Beach Boys, such as John Stamos and David Marks (a former member), who occasionally join them in their concerts. It’s certainly an enjoyable way to spend an evening and you have to like a group that can still remain fresh after 45 years. To find out for yourself check out our Beach Boys tickets and you’ll not regret it!
With the Wild Card weekend over and done with (and for once it was a very exciting set of games), there will be no more bye weeks for any teams. It's do or die, win or go home, put up or shut up, do better than the guys in the different colored jerseys, et cetera. And with only three games to win, the NY Giants are seemingly in a strong position to repeat their Super Bowl glory of last year. Last year's Wild Card and this year's favorite, the Giants' road begins this Sunday against Philadelphia. And while it seems that all the statistics and skill are on the Giants' side, they are also coming out of an end-of-the-season rut in which they lost 3 of their last 4 games, one of those against the Eagles. So how will the momentum fall? With the Eagles, who have the psychological advantage (as well as their hot streak of winning 5 of their last 6 games)? Or will the recently humbled Giants look to avenge their losses/embarassments? It may come down to a straight battle of skill versus will. Regardless of the outcome, however, this rubber match is definitely going to be exciting. It's definitely one of those games you'll want to reserve your Giants playoff tickets for, so that you won't miss a single snap.
He's the original bad boy gone good, or at least one of the originals. Merle Haggard's upbringing was anything but steady. Born in 1937 to impovershed parents, Merle turned to crime shortly after his dad died. At age 13, he was caught for his first crime of shoplifting (a crime to be repeated quite frequently) and he spent time in a juvenile detention center. After numerous more apprehensions, including a 3 year stint in San Quentin where he saw Johnny Cash perform, Haggard decided to turn his life around and pursue his dream of country music. It was in 1964 when he first released a national hit, "Sing A Sad Song," a cover of Wynn Stewart. From that point on, Merle has enjoyed thorough success. Although his last big hit was in the mid 80s, Merle continued to perform until he was diagnosed with cancer in one of his lungs in November of 2008. However, he has not only recovered from it, he is ready to hit the road again. Check out our Merle Haggard concert tickets and catch one of his upcoming shows!
Jumping motorcycles. Big hilly dirt racecourses. What else could this be besides the AMA Super Cross? If you’ve never heard of this sport before, you are really missing out! These aren’t just regular motorcycles though. They are designed especially for off-road use and are very high performance. But this isn’t the same as Motocross. Super Cross is an offshoot of Motocross, but they generally only race in larger cities and the racecourses are more technical and a little slower. Some people watch it for the jumps, some people watch it for the cool motorcycles, others watch for the wipeouts! There’s really something for everyone in Super Cross. Last year, a racer name Chad Reed won the Super Cross AMA championship, which he also won in 2004. He has also won several championships in his native Australia. A whole new season is going to begin, and you really should see some of the competitions this year. Can Reed defend his championship? There’s going to be an event in your city and you should take it in. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the sport or a long-time fan. Take a look at our AMA Super Cross tickets and see a great race!
Have you ever waited for someone for a long time? Someone that just never seems to arrive? You already have an idea of how the two main characters in Waiting for Godot, Vladimir and Estragon, feel. They are waiting for a man named Godot. They keep trying to do something to keep from getting too bored while waiting. Samuel Beckett wrote the play in the early 50s and it premiered on the January 5, 1953. It was an instant success and has been produced many times since then. It has become one of the modern classics and various interpretations of the play have been performed over the years. There have been versions with two women playing Vladimir and Estragon. Beckett himself hasn’t been all that enthused by the prospect of two women, because it doesn’t fit in with his vision. The current production of Waiting for Godot has the great actors Bill Irwin and Nathan Lane, with John Goodman in a supporting role. Take a look at Waiting for Godot at Studio 54 and find tickets to see a great show!
