LP Field Information
LP Field is located in Nashville, Tennessee and is home of the Tennessee Titans and the Tennessee State Tigers. This open-air, all natural grass stadium is used during the off-season for soccer games and musical concerts. The stadium holds over 68,000 seats and has 12 parking lots. The Titans' games are so popular that the parking lots fill up quickly and tailgating opportunities before the games are limited. The Titans do provide an all-inclusive tailgating party that can be purchased for a large party to allow people to enjoy the tailgating experience without taking up valuable parking spaces.
LP Field was constructed in 1998 and was hit by a tornado during construction. In spite of the damage caused, the $292 million stadium opened on time in 1999 and is one of the very few stadiums that constantly sells out each Titans home game. Between 1999 and 2002 the stadium was known as the Adelphia Coliseum and between 2002 till 2006 the stadium was named The Coliseum.
