Paul Brown Stadium Information
Paul Brown Stadium has been home to the Cincinnati Bengals since 2004. Instead of having the rights to the stadium’s name being sold to the highest bidder by the city, Cincinnati decided to name the stadium after the late Paul Brown, who was the person responsible for bringing pro football to Cincinnati in 1968. Bengals fans affectionately call the stadium “The Jungle” after the natural habitat of Bengal Tigers. The stadium holds 65,000 seats and has 114 private luxury suites available for group events and rentals during the football season. The private boxes have glass windows that open, so if the weather is nice, the guests can enjoy the outdoor experience as well.
After repeated issues with the natural grass originally installed in the stadium, the playing field in this open air stadium was replaced with artificial Field Turf which looks, feels and plays like natural grass but provides a consistent playing surface. Paul Brown Stadium has the honor of being ranked as one of 150 America's favorite buildings; only two other sports arenas were included in this list. During the football off season, the stadium hosts popular music concerts and other local events.
