Born in 1920 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Augustana University Vikings Football turns campus Saturdays into can't-miss events. Competing in NCAA Division II, the Vikings have stacked conference hardware, claiming NSIC crowns in 2021, 2023 and 2024, and reaching the NCAA quarterfinals in 2010. NFL standout C.J. Ham and head coach Jerry Olszewski are touchstones for a program built on toughness, precision and community.

Kirkeby-Over Stadium sits steps from the heart of campus, opened in 2009 and seating 7,000, where Augieville tailgates, the Viking Marching Band and a loud student section set a welcoming, high-energy scene. Each fall, the crosstown Key to the City rivalry with the University of Sioux Falls lights up Sioux Falls, while Viking Days homecoming layers in long-held traditions. Join the roar, grab your blue and gold, and be part of the next big moment.
