Bleachers Announces 2015 Co-Headlining Tour with Charli XCX
Starting mid-July, Bleachers will be launching a 2015 co-headlining North American tour with rising British pop star Charli XCX. The two acts are expected to team up beginning on July 21 at the Birch North Park Theatre in San Diego, and they’ll perform in just over a dozen cities through the middle of August. The venture will include shows at venues like Seattle’s Showbox SODO (July 25), Minneapolis’ Cabooze (Aug. 4), Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. (Aug. 8), and Detroit’s Fillmore Theatre (Aug. 11), before wrapping up on Aug. 12 in Columbus, Ohio. Outside of the joint shows with Charli XCX, Bleachers will be performing at a handful of additional major events through the year, including a concert with Billy Joel at Boston’s Fenway Park (July 16). Bleachers is also featured on lineups for Rock in Rio USA (May 8-9), Sweetlife Festival (May 30-31), and Bonnaroo (June 11-14), among others.
Bleachers will be on tour this year in support of its debut album, “Strange Desire.” The release dropped in July 2014 and peaked at No. 2 on both Billboard’s Alternative and Rock charts.
