Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Crimson Hawks have competed since 1927 in Indiana, Pennsylvania. In the PSAC, IUP stacks achievements: 19 conference championships, seven NCAA Division II semifinal runs, and national title game appearances in 1990 and 1993.

Guided for decades by College Football Hall of Famer Frank Cignetti Sr., whose name graces Frank Cignetti Field at George P. Miller Stadium, the program pairs tradition with edge. The annual Coal Bowl vs California (Pa.) supercharges campus, while a loud student section and all-out tailgates turn the intimate 5,000-seat venue into one of Division II’s toughest places to play. Whether you are returning alumni or new to IUP football, expect competitive games and a welcoming, high-energy Saturday built for vivid memories.
