Medeski, Martin, and Wood are a boundary-pushing New York trio of keyboardist John Medeski, drummer Billy Martin, and bassist Chris Wood. Since the early 1990s, they’ve fused jazz improvisation with funk, hip-hop grooves, and avant-garde textures, building a cult following in clubs and on the jam-band circuit. Their kinetic interplay powers standout releases like "Shack-man," "Combustication," and the "Radiolarians" series, plus acclaimed collaborations with guitarist John Scofield. Onstage, MMW stretch songs into fearless journeys, shifting from gritty Hammond swirls to deep-pocket breakbeats and elastic acoustic explorations, all with telepathic chemistry that keeps each show singular.
