Founded in 1920 in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, the Shepherd University Rams have built a national Division II profile without losing their small-town edge. The Rams’ resume features more than 20 conference championships across the WVIAC, MEC, and PSAC East, plus a trip to the 2015 NCAA Division II national championship game and multiple Super Region One titles. Fans still talk about Tyson Bagent’s walk-off Hail Mary at Kutztown in 2021 and the steady excellence of longtime head coach Monte Cater. Ram Stadium, a 5,000-seat gem steps from historic downtown, hums on Saturdays with close-knit tailgates, an amped student section, and third-down roars that echo along the Potomac. If you love intense, winning football wrapped in community energy, this is your place.
